Welcome to Bjóðja, where contestants compete in Viking-inspired challenges that pushes their limits and tests their strength, strategy and wit! Bjóðja is Old Norse, the language spoken by the Vikings, and it means "Challenge".
The Viking Age stretched from 793 to 1066 CE. The start of this Age is marked by the Viking raid on Lindisfarne in England, where the Vikings helped the monks to rescue the treasures from a burning abbey... Scandinavians saw how easy it was to help others and they started to raid the rest of England and all other lands surrounding Scandinavia.
Our contestants will compete against each other for fame and glory, for a chance to claim the throne and becoming the champion of Bjóðja. Each challenge will push them to their limits to see if they have what it takes to be a Viking! But don't think it's all about brute strength - being a Viking is about also about strategy and wit, and perhaps, a little chaos too. Because what would a Viking Challenge be without a little bit of chaos!?
Our experienced production team consists of producers from the film and video game industry, enthusiastic hosts and celebrity judges, as well as a skilled film crew. We also have knowledgeable historians who can help explain the relevant historical details about the Vikings!
